Software and Data Quality Analyst

Fortress Information Security is seeking a Software and Data Quality Analyst to enhance the accuracy and reliability of data for their Cyber Supply Chain Risk Management platform. This role involves validating and improving data quality across various government sources and requires strong analytical skills to address data inconsistencies. Responsibilities Validate and reconcile metadata across multiple disparate government data sources to ensure accuracy and completeness within the C-SCRM platform Identify, analyze, and resolve data anomalies and inconsistencies to improve overall data quality and reliability Collaborate with program stakeholders to define, create, and update required metadata supporting enterprise data standards Support the ingestion, normalization, and baselining of data sources into the C-SCRM tool Execute manual Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) implementation and validation processes within air-gapped environments Develop and execute data validation workflows using Excel, Looker, and QA tools to monitor and improve data integrity Write and execute queries or scripts to efficiently analyze datasets and detect quality issues Track, document, and manage data defects and remediation efforts using Jira and other tracking systems Participate in regular working sessions with government clients and internal teams to review data quality, resolve issues, and align on requirements Continuously improve data quality processes, documentation, and validation techniques to support scalable operations Skills 1–3 years of experience in data quality, software quality assurance, cybersecurity, or related technical roles Active Secret security clearance (required) Experience supporting mission-critical or high-visibility programs in a client-facing environment Strong understanding of Navy systems and cybersecurity requirements within regulated environments Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and validation Experience using data validation or QA tools to assess and improve data quality Experience using Jira or similar ticketing systems to track defects and workflows Ability to write queries or scripts to analyze and validate datasets Strong analytical judgment and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Ability to execute independently with moderate guidance Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional work experience required Experience supporting Navy Program Offices or similar government organization Experience with Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) concepts and tools Familiarity with government data systems such as eMASS, ACAS, DADMS, and FPDS Experience working with data visualization or analytics tools such as Looker Familiarity with scripting or programming languages such as Python Industry certifications such as CISSP or CSSLP Ability to leverage AI tools through basic prompting for tasks such as drafting, summarizing, or brainstorming, while applying judgment to AI-generated output Benefits Remote and Hybrid working environment Competitive pay structure Medical, dental, vision plans with employees covered up to 90% with highly progressive options for dependents and families Company paid life, short- and long-term disability insurance Employee Assistance Program 401(k) match Flexible Paid Time Off Parental Leave We provide each employee with professional growth opportunities through succession planning, up-skilling, and certifications Tuition and certification reimbursement Employee Referral Programs Company Sponsored Events Company Overview Fortress protects governments, critical infrastructure, supply chains, and digital assets from advanced cyber threats.
