Responsibilities
? Serve as the academic liaison to the social sciences and entrepreneurship-related disciplines. This includes course-integrated instruction, skill-building workshops, collection development, and reference and research consultations.
? Build and maintain strong relationships with academic departments, faculty, and students to create and promote library services and resources and participate in campus events, fairs, and orientations to increase awareness of library offerings.
? Partner with entrepreneurial centers, incubators, student organizations, and startup ecosystems to provide tailored support and resources.
? Stay abreast of emerging trends in these fields to ensure the collection remains current and comprehensive.
? Participate in library-wide committees as needed to support the strategic goals of the Libraries.
? Contribute to the library profession through research, publication, and participation in professional organizations.
Qualifications
? A master's degree in library science (MLS/MLIS/MSI) from an ALA-accredited program or advanced degree in a relevant discipline.
? Experience with reference/research services, and various literacy instructions.
? Familiarity with social sciences and entrepreneurship academic resources, including business statistics and data.
? Strong commitment to public service and user-centered library practices with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
? Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a dynamic and changing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
? Demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative library programs and services.
? Awareness of emerging trends in academic libraries and higher education and entrepreneurship.
? Experience in developing and managing social science collections, including digital resources.
? A minimum of one year of experience in an academic or research library setting.
