Social Media Strategist (Contract)
Overview
We’re looking for a Social Media Strategist to help set up, grow, and manage organic social media for public-sector and government-adjacent clients. This role goes beyond posting—focused on community building, engagement growth, and organic performance.
What You’ll Do
•Set up and optimize social media accounts across key platforms
•Build and manage community engagement (comments, replies, conversations)
•Develop an organic social strategy to increase engagement and reach
•Analyze post performance and identify what’s working
•Recommend top-performing organic posts for paid amplification
•Ensure content and engagement follow public-sector / government standards
What We’re Looking For
•1-3+ years experience in social media strategy or management
•Proven success growing organic engagement (not just scheduling posts)
•Experience setting up social media accounts from scratch
•Understanding of how organic content supports paid social
•Experience with government, public-sector, nonprofit, or regulated accounts
•Strong writing and communication skills
