Social Media Strategist - Community Engagement

YETI is seeking a Social Media Strategist to lead the development and execution of integrated social media strategies that elevate the YETI brand and drive engagement across key communities, including Hunt and Fish. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of social platforms, content performance, and audience behavior. The ideal candidate will bring 3+ years of experience in social media strategy, content planning, and cross-functional collaboration. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and execution of social media strategies that align with brand and business objectives. Independently manage social campaigns from concept through execution, including content planning, publishing, and performance analysis. Collaborate with Community Marketing, Content, and Digital Video teams to create compelling, channel-specific content that resonates with target audiences. Drive innovation in social storytelling by identifying emerging trends and applying insights to content strategy. Develop and present strategic recommendations to internal stakeholders based on performance data and audience insights. Oversee social media content calendars, ensuring alignment with broader marketing campaigns and seasonal priorities. Manage real-time content capture and publishing at live events, ensuring brand consistency and timely engagement. Build and maintain relationships with influencers and brand ambassadors to amplify YETI’s presence in niche communities. Utilize social listening tools to identify opportunities for engagement and content creation. Mentor junior team members and contribute to process improvements that enhance team efficiency and output. Qualifications/Attributes Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 3 years of experience in social media strategy or digital marketing, preferably in a brand or agency setting. Demonstrated ability to work independently and make strategic decisions with minimal oversight. Strong analytical skills with experience using data to inform content and campaign decisions. Advanced knowledge of social media platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook, and their respective content formats. Experience with social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Sprinklr, native platforms). Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to influence cross-functional teams. Pay Range: $57,600.00 - $71,300.00 Annual USD Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
