Social Media/Marketing Intern Job Description
Do you have a passion for river recreation? Do you love hanging out on the river? Do you enjoy creating video and photo content to share on Instagram/TikTok?
Work with PaddleSMTX this summer as a Social Media/Marketing Intern! Social Media interns are responsible for creating and managing content across our social media platforms, including
Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with our overall marketing goals.
- Create and curate engaging and visually appealing content for our social media platforms, including photos, videos, and written posts.
- Monitor and respond to customer comments and messages on social media platforms in a timely and professional manner.
- Stay up to date with the latest social media trends and best practices, and make recommendations for improvements to our social media strategy.
- Collaborate with other members of the marketing team to ensure that our social media content is consistent with our overall brand message.
- Develop and maintain a social media content calendar to ensure a consistent flow of content.
- Utilize analytics tools to measure the success of our social media campaigns and make data-driven decisions to improve our social media strategy.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a social media manager or similar role
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms and best practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Experience with social media analytics and metrics
- Experience with photography and video editing.
- Passion for outdoor activities and kayaking is a plus.
Pay:
This is a salaried position starting at $80/week (~$14/hr). Typically this position requires around
5-6 hours of work per week. Any additional hours over 4 per week are paid at $14/hr.
Bonuses:
We do offer additional bonuses for hitting target goals. Typically this is based on social media engagement metrics (views/likes per post, etc )
