Small Business Relationship Manager

This role serves as a financial advisor to small business clients, focusing on acquiring new relationships and managing existing ones while ensuring compliance with KeyBank's standards.ResponsibilitiesActs as the primary financial advisor and business partner to clients, serving as the main contact for most client-related mattersDrives business growth by deeply understanding client’s cash flow needs, the industries they serve, analyzing business trends, and proactively identifying opportunitiesEducates clients on KeyBank’s products and capabilities, providing tailored solutions to support their business needsCollaborates with retail branches and networks actively to deepen client relationships and develop new prospects, including building a Center of Influence referral networkLeads credit processes, manages portfolio risk, assembles cross-functional teams for client needs, and ensuresPerforms other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without noticeComplies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key’s clients and KeySkillsAssociate's degree or equivalent experience (required)A minimum of 1 year (ideally 2+) of experience in a small business/commercial lending environment (required)A minimum of 1 year of experience in cross-selling products and an ability and track record to meet or exceed aggressive sales goals (required)Company OverviewAt KeyBank we’ve made a promise to our clients that they will always have a champion in us.
