Job Overview – What You’ll Do:
• Provide direct and indirect speech and language services to students within a school setting
• Assess and diagnose communication disorders, both speech and language related
• Create and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress
• Conduct therapy sessions in individual and group formats
• Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure student success
• Participate in IEP meetings and maintain compliance with state and district guidelines
Qualifications & Certifications (Florida Requirements):
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
• Active Florida SLP license issued by the Florida Board of Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology
• Certification (or eligibility) from the Florida Department of Education if required by the school district
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are encouraged to apply
