The University of Houston is seeking a Functional Analyst I or II in their Enrollment Services- Communications/Marketing department. The role involves process analysis and design, coordination with technical staff, and improvement of current policies and procedures.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for complex system process analysis, design and simulationUnderstands the University's business systems and State of Texas regulationsResponsible for analysis and re-design of current processesCommunicates and resolves issues with functional staff, and coordinates programming requirements with technical staffRecommends and facilitates improvements to current policies and proceduresIntegrates new process with existing ones, and coordinates training requirements for end-usersRecommends testing strategies and acceptance criteriaPerforms other job-related duties as assignedSkillsRequires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional disciplineKnowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performedRequires a minimum of 0 years of directly job-related experience for Functional Analyst IRequires a minimum of one (1) years of directly job-related experience for Functional Analyst IIHigher Education experienceService leadership skills including mutual respect, active listening, and responsivenessMust be a multi-tasker, extremely organized, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skillsAbility to clearly interpret and implement policies and proceduresAbility to interact with all levels of internal and external constituentsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteExperience using CRM to organize and distribute mass communicationsExperience using Slate preferredCompany OverviewThe doctoral degree-granting and largest university of the University of Houston system.
