Simulation Engineer

They are seeking a Simulation Engineer in their EA (Electrical and Automation) division to support product development through advanced computational analysis and simulation tools. The role involves developing and validating simulation models that inform design decisions and collaborating with engineering teams to achieve project milestones.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, execute, and document simulation models to support product design and validationPerform mechanical, thermal, electrical, and/or multiphysics analyses as required by project scopeTranslate engineering requirements, load cases, and boundary conditions into accurate simulation setupsInterpret simulation results and clearly communicate findings, risks, and design recommendationsCollaborate closely with design engineers, test engineers, and project teams to support development milestonesValidate simulation results through analytical calculations, test correlation, or benchmark studiesPrepare technical reports, presentations, and summaries for engineering and management audiencesSupport continuous improvement of simulation methods, workflows, and best practicesSkillsBachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical EngineeringStrong understanding of engineering fundamentals (statics, dynamics, heat transfer, electromagnetics, or related fields)Handsâon experience with engineering modeling, CAD, and simulation tools, including: CAD Modeling: Siemens NX, SolidWorks, Structural & Multiphysics Simulation: NX Nastran, Ansys Mechanical, Thermal & CFD Simulation: Siemens STARâCCM+, Ansys Fluent, Electromagnetic Simulation: NX Magnetics, Ansys Maxwell, CST Studio SuiteAbility to develop complete simulation models, including geometry creation and simplification, meshing, material definition, loads, and boundary conditionsStrong analytical thinking and problemâsolving skillsEffective written and verbal communication skillsLegally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorshipMaster's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related fieldExperience with multiphysics simulations (e.g., electroâthermal, structuralâthermal, electromagneticâstructural)Experience supporting industrial or productâbased engineering developmentFamiliarity with validation techniques and test correlationProgramming or scripting experience (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for postâprocessing or automationExperience working in regulated or standardsâdriven engineering environmentsCompany OverviewSiemens empowers customers to transform the industries that form the backbone of economies: industry, transportation, buildings and grids.
