The Metrology Section Manager will work under limited direction and supervision to manage a team of experienced salary and bargaining unit employees across multiple states to support equipment calibration schedules, prioritize work to meet customer demands, create budget forecasts and monitor expenditures, and act as calibration management interface with other organizations to influence policies, practices, and procedures.What You Will Do Manage a Metrology team across multiple geographically separated sitesInfluence and collaborate with other managers and directors on Metrology related issuesForecast workloads and create supporting budgetsManage indirect and direct cost accounts related to scope of responsibilityIdentify and make improvements to processes to enhance area performanceSolve difficult and moderately complex systemic problemsSome domestic travel may be required up to 15% of the timeAn advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for 3 additional years of experience.Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.Experience in engineering or technical experience in product test, manufacturing, or electronics maintenance environmentsExperience leading a team/projectThe ability to obtain and maintain an Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF).The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
