The Role As Shopify UX/UI Designer, you'll be a critical player in crafting our client's digital face. This isn't just about pretty pictures; it's about building a website and user experience that converts visitors into loyal customers. You'll be working directly with the Digital Product team to design a website that wows and sells. You'll need a solid UX/UI foundation, but also be ready to roll up your sleeves with front‑end development to independently build killer Shopify landing pages. The Responsibilities Responsive Web Design: Develop conversion‑optimized, responsive web designs for our website, enhancing the user journey. Wireframes, Mockups, and Prototypes: Develop wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas, optimizing for functionality and brand coherence. Shopify Landing Pages: Independently develop and maintain new Shopify landing pages using JSON, Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. A/B Testing and Data‑Driven Design: Collaborate with the Growth team to develop design variations, conduct A/B tests, and implement insights for improved engagement. Page Builders: Create, customize, and optimize landing pages using platforms like GemPages, Unbounce, Shogun, and Replo (experience is a plus, willingness to learn is essential). User Research Integration: Translate user insights into actionable design solutions, focusing on usability. (Nice to Have - UI) AI Content Generation: Use AI tools to generate website copy and source/edit images. (Nice to Have) The Requirements 2+ years of UX/UI design experience specifically for eCommerce websites, with a portfolio showcasing results‑driven work. Knowledge of UX/UI principles, website design best practices, and conversion rate optimization, with the ability to translate data into design improvements. You enjoy building, iterating, and solving problems independently in a fast‑paced startup environment. Bonus Points: Strong front‑end development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Liquid) essential for Shopify development, plus familiarity with JSON templates. Bonus Points: Proficiency in Figma, experience with page builders ( GemPages, Unbounce , Shogun, Replo), and/or experience with AI‑powered design tools.
