Shopify Backend Manager & Product SEO Editor (Adult E-Commerce)
We’re hiring a Shopify Backend Manager to handle product uploads, edits, collections, and SEO optimization for an adult e-commerce store. This is a long-term, detail-oriented role — you’ll be managing the catalog, ensuring listings are accurate, compliant, and optimized for search visibility and conversions. You must be comfortable working in the adult wellness / intimacy product niche and capable of treating it with professionalism and discretion. Responsibilities: –– Add, edit, and organize products in Shopify (titles, descriptions, tags, collections, and pricing). –– Write or refine product descriptions for SEO and clarity. –– Optimize all on-page SEO elements (meta titles, alt text, URLs, and structured data). –– Ensure image quality, size, and compliance with adult-content policies. –– Maintain consistency in formatting, variant structures, and naming conventions. –– Review and correct any broken links, missing metadata, or duplicate content. –– Work with the SEO/blog team to align product keywords with content strategy. –– Regularly review analytics to identify opportunities for optimization and conversion improvements. Requirements: –– Proven experience managing Shopify stores (adding products, editing content, updating metadata). –– Strong grasp of on-page SEO and keyword optimization. –– Comfortable with adult wellness / intimacy product content (non-explicit, tasteful). –– Ability to resize and optimize product images for speed and SEO. –– Familiarity with Shopify SEO tools or apps (e.g., Smart SEO, JSON-LD for SEO, or equivalent). –– Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills. –– Bonus: experience with schema markup or structured data in Shopify. Deliverables: –– Weekly product uploads and edits. –– SEO-optimized listings with clean metadata and alt text. –– Updated collections and navigation based on product strategy. –– Monthly catalog review and SEO performance summary.
