Settlement Attorney (Fully Remote)
About the Role
A Los Angeles-based plaintiff-side employment law firm is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Settlement Attorney to join its growing team. This role is ideal for an attorney who enjoys negotiating resolutions, managing case pipelines, and working collaboratively in a fast-paced, fully remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
ā¢ Lead settlement negotiations with opposing counsel, insurers, and other parties
ā¢ Evaluate cases for settlement value and develop negotiation strategies
ā¢ Draft, review, and revise settlement agreements and related documents
ā¢ Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to move cases efficiently toward resolution
ā¢ Maintain organized case tracking and ensure timely follow-up on all settlement-related matters
ā¢ Communicate effectively with clients regarding settlement options and outcomes
Qualifications
ā¢ Active license to practice law in California
ā¢ Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage a high-volume caseload
ā¢ Experience with contract drafting and negotiation required
ā¢ Prior settlement negotiation experience strongly preferred
ā¢ Employment law experience is a plus, but not required
ā¢ Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required
ā¢ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
ā¢ Comfortable working independently in a fully remote setting
