About the Role
A Los Angeles-based plaintiff-side employment law firm is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Settlement Attorney to join its growing team. This role is ideal for an attorney who enjoys negotiating resolutions, managing case pipelines, and working collaboratively in a fast-paced, fully remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
⢠Lead settlement negotiations with opposing counsel, insurers, and other parties
⢠Evaluate cases for settlement value and develop negotiation strategies
⢠Draft, review, and revise settlement agreements and related documents
⢠Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to move cases efficiently toward resolution
⢠Maintain organized case tracking and ensure timely follow-up on all settlement-related matters
⢠Communicate effectively with clients regarding settlement options and outcomes
Qualifications
⢠Active license to practice law in California
⢠Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage a high-volume caseload
⢠Experience with contract drafting and negotiation required
⢠Prior settlement negotiation experience strongly preferred
⢠Employment law experience is a plus, but not required
⢠Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required
⢠Excellent written and verbal communication skills
⢠Comfortable working independently in a fully remote setting
