Servicing Specialist I

New American Funding is seeking an Insurance Services Specialist to monitor their insurance vendor and ensure compliance with flood insurance guidelines. The role involves reviewing reports, addressing escalations, and implementing process changes in collaboration with the supervisor.ResponsibilitiesWork insurance reports daily, monthly, or bi-monthly to monitor our insurance vendor disburses premiums timely or letters are sent out timely according to the business rules and investor guidelinesReview reports to ensure all loans in a flood zone have flood coverage and meet flood guidelinesWorks insurance, flood, and loss draft related tasks within MSPAddress and log escalations on hazard, loss draft, and flood issues for inquiries, disputes, and complaints to ensure they are handled within specified timelinesCommunicates with borrowers and or agents as necessary to resolve inquiriesWorks with the supervisor to identify, define, and implement process changesSkillsCandidate must have at least 1 - 2 years of knowledge in escrow – Insurance, Loss Draft, Flood ServicesMinimum 1 - 2 years of mortgage experienceIn-depth knowledge of MSP, with at least 3 years recent experience working with MSPHistory of reliable attendanceCombination of education and experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge to perform the essential job functionsHas knowledge of commonly used terminology, concepts and practices and procedures within the mortgage industryGood organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines while working under pressureMust have demonstrated ability to achieve goalsHandle simultaneous tasks and projects in a fast-paced environmentAble to work independently, as well as part of a teamExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong PC skillsMust be proficient in MS Windows, MS Outlook, MS Office Suite, MS SharePointAbility to interact professionally with a diverse group, including other business units, managers, subject matter experts, and third-party business partnersMust be able to verify identity and employment eligibility to work in the U.SMust be able to lift up to ten poundsPrimary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange informationVISION: See in the normal visual range with or without correctionHEARING: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correctionPreferred background in escrow mortgage servicingBilingual (English/Spanish) a plusCompany OverviewNew American Funding provides cutting-edge marketing and technology efforts allow us to compete with large banks.
