Role: ServiceNow CMDB/ITOM Solution Architect Location: Remote Duration: 6+ months Rate: $Market All Inclusive Job Summary The client went live with ServiceNow ITSM 9 months ago, transitioning from Cherwell. The client is currently running the Yokohama release. Job Description ServiceNow CMDB Product Manager to set the strategy and the execution leveraging a managed services provider to optimize the CMDB starting with Discovery and expanding the CMBD to Mapping, CSDM and ITAM This includes overseeing data governance, defining the structure of the configuration management system, such as identifying Configuration Items (CIs), establishing naming standards, defining relationships, and supervising mapping and discovery activities. The CMDB Product Manager also tracks compliance to policies and procedures and resolving / escalating any compliance issues. In addition, * Reviews and approves significant IT infrastructure changes to ensure impacts to configuration management data are properly addressed * Mentors the organization on Configuration Management services, concepts, policies and procedures * Provides and approves all requirements, use cases, user stories, etc. in support of new or improving functionality of the CMDB * Reviews and approves all requests for administrator log on credentials / access rights to the CMS infrastructure * Reviews and publishes configuration management reporting and oversees the design, coding and testing of reports as needed Top Skills Required 1. Experience managing the day-to-day ServiceNow CMDB governance and execution and are certified in ITOM Visibility 2. Have experience setting the strategy and the execution to optimize the CMDB starting with Discovery and planning expansion of the CMBD to Mapping, CSDM and ITAM 3. Strong Communication skills, establishing a RACI, and knowledge of road mapping and project management and to advise leadership 4. Experience monitoring a managed Services Provider to ensure they are maintaining data quality and standards
