Senior ServiceNow Developer / ArchitectLocation: Remote or hybrid (as required) Employment Type: Full-time Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to pass applicable background checks Key Responsibilities Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer / Architect to support large-scale initiatives focused on modernizing and optimizing IT service delivery. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who combines deep technical expertise with architectural vision and the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams. The successful candidate will design, build, and enhance scalable, secure, and efficient ServiceNow solutions across multiple modules and integrations while contributing to platform governance and long-term strategy. Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex ServiceNow solutions and integrations. Serve as a subject matter expert for ServiceNow architecture, governance, and platform scalability. Develop and maintain custom applications, workflows, automation, and integrations following ServiceNow best practices. Align platform enhancements with business objectives, compliance standards, and IT service delivery goals. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Integrate ServiceNow with external systems using REST, SOAP, MID Servers, and IntegrationHub. Define and maintain development standards, documentation, and code repositories. Mentor junior developers and help mature platform development practices. Stay up to date on new ServiceNow releases, evaluating opportunities to adopt new features and technologies. Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience in enterprise IT, including application development and system integration. 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience, including scripting, configuration, and custom app development. Proven experience contributing to or leading ServiceNow architectural design and strategic platform initiatives. Strong understanding and practical use of the Common Service Data Model (CSDM). Experience defining and governing the Configuration Management Database (CMDB). Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, Flow Designer, Service Portal, and UI customization. Strong grasp of ITIL principles and experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification required. At least one advanced ServiceNow certification (e.g., Certified Application Developer, Implementation Specialist, or Technical Architect). Preferred Qualifications Experience working in public sector or regulated environments. Familiarity with security and compliance standards such as FedRAMP, HIPAA, or CJIS.
