ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a forward-thinking, bilingual SEO Specialist who understands that search is evolving beyond traditional rankings.
This is not a basic keyword optimization role. We are looking for someone who understands the full ecosystem of modern search — from Google and Baidu to AI-driven platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Gemini — and knows how to strategically position a brand to win across all of them.
You will help us build scalable organic visibility in both English and Chinese-language markets within a high-trust, healthcare-related niche.
This is an opportunity to build and shape the SEO function from the ground up.
WHAT YOU’LL DOStrategy & Execution
• Develop and execute SEO strategies for both English and Mandarin Chinese markets
• Optimize content for Google, Bing, Baidu, and emerging AI search platforms
• Build structured topical authority strategies to strengthen E-E-A-T
• Identify high-intent keywords across both languages
AI & Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)
• Develop strategies to increase brand visibility within LLM platforms (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini)
• Optimize content for AI Overviews, featured snippets, and entity-based search
• Create content structured to be cited and referenced by AI systems
• Stay current on GEO best practices and AI-driven search behavior
Technical & Analytical
• Conduct technical SEO audits and recommend improvements
• Monitor performance via GA4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and similar tools
• Analyze traffic, rankings, and user behavior across markets
• Provide clear reporting and actionable insights
Cross-Team Collaboration
• Work closely with content, paid media, and web teams to align strategy
• Support international targeting of Chinese-speaking audiences domestically and abroad
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
• Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese (written and spoken)
• 3+ years of hands-on SEO experience
• Strong foundation in technical SEO, on-page optimization, off-page strategy, and link building
• Understanding of how LLMs source, interpret, and cite content
• Experience with Baidu SEO and Chinese digital ecosystems preferred
• Proficiency in GA4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush or similar tools
• Strong understanding of E-E-A-T and YMYL content strategy
• Ability to independently plan and execute strategy with minimal supervision
• Proactive learner who stays ahead of algorithm updates and industry shifts
COMPENSATION
$45–$70 per hour, depending on experience
15–25 hours per week
Compensation is aligned with experience in both traditional SEO and AI/GEO strategy.
Performance-based bonus opportunities may be available based on measurable organic growth and AI visibility improvements.
