Join us!Your RoleThis is a product engineering role that will heavily focus on AI/ML in the Payments: Accounts Payable (AP) Automation domain. We view AI as a key strategic investment to realize our mission of helping enterprises procure faster, smarter, and safer. You WillAs a Senior/Staff Software Engineer, you will shape AI strategy and infrastructure for the Payments org and contribute to AI strategy and direction for the company. You’ll develop a deep understanding of the day-to-day workflows for Payments customers inside the Zip product. You’ll work closely with other engineers and cross-functional partners (e.g. PMs, designers, and sales team) to identify opportunities for quantifiable business impact, drive engineering decisions, and build and launch applied AI products. Please note that we are looking for someone who will be able to come into our downtown San Francisco office on a hybrid basis (3 days/week).Qualifications6+ years of experience working as a full stack / product engineerBachelor’s and/or Master’s degree, preferably in CS or related fieldsProficiency in software development languages (Python/Java/C++ or equivalent)Experience working at an AI startup or on an Applied AI team at a larger companyFamiliarity with Search Recommendations, LLM and GenAI concepts and use casesStrong product / business sense and can drive product decisions Great cross-functional collaboration skillsPreferred QualificationsGen AI / Applied AI experienceSolid SWE experience building products for customersPayments or B2B experience is a plusThe salary range for the Senior/Staff role is $190,000 - $250,000.
