Senior/Staff DevOps Engineer (HHS)
Skylight is a digital consultancy that helps government agencies deliver better public services. The company is looking for a Senior/Staff DevOps Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience with modern software development, cloud-centric technologies, and lean-agile engineering principles.
Requirements
ā¢ Understand the general concepts of modern software development and can work closely with software engineers
ā¢ Able to work in a cloud-centric world, which includes managing disparate, interconnected systems and ensuring the availability, reliability, and resiliency of these systems
ā¢ Can enable teams to deliver value to users and the business continuously (e.g., CI/CD pipelines)
ā¢ Know how to build secure, compliant applications and defend against common vulnerabilities
ā¢ Can work with software engineers to instrument applications and configure infrastructures for monitoring, metrics, alerting, logging, auditability, and compliance
ā¢ Know how to create and maintain your infrastructure as code and standardize deployment processes
ā¢ Ability to work successfully within a professional services environment (e.g., can communicate effectively with clients)
ā¢ Passionate about creating better public outcomes through great government services
ā¢ A mindset and work approach that aligns with our core values
