Senior Vendor Manager, HOP UAE

Job DescriptionAs a Senior Vendor Manager, you will lead a team of Vendor Managers and be responsible for relationships with some of the largest vendors. Working with colleagues across functional areas including supply chain, marketing, pricing and operations, you will leverage your experience to drive the performance of vendors. In addition, you will act as the vertical lead for a category, setting strategic priorities to deliver the best in class proposition for customers. You will be based in our Dubai office (DIFC), where we operate on a hybrid model (three days a week working in the office), reporting to the Head of HOP - UAE.What you’ll be responsible forDrive the strategic agenda for Hop in line with Deliveroo's wider grocery strategy, in collaboration with senior leaders in the UAE and UK HQLead a team of Vendor Managers and guide commercial negotiations and strategic planning with our vendorsMonitor and analyse the performance of the partner’s operational metrics and lead operational performance reviews with the partner, including weekly operational reviewsIncrease mutual growth by sustainably increasing Order Volume, AOV, Vendor Margin and overall CXConduct analytical deep-dives to identify value opportunities by understanding customer behaviour and benchmarking partner performance vs peersDefine and deliver the best value proposition for customers, including selection, promotions, pricing and service levels.Work with marketing counterparts to design marketing campaigns that create value for the partner​The candidate:This is a demanding role that will require drive, ambition, and enthusiasm. The desired skills/experiences include:5+ years experience in a vendor/ account management, or commercial role.3+ years of experience in, or working with online or offline grocery retail is preferable.Customer and vendor obsessed, with effective relationship building, organisation and communication skills whether face to face or through video, phone or email.Experience working with and analysing data - able to cut through the noise to understand how to deliver sustainable growth for Roo and our vendorsCreative approach with a track record of thinking outside the box to generate and execute ideas and strategies to drive the growth, with a willingness to trial at pace.Collaborative team player who can get the best out of the people around you.
