Job Type ContractDescriptionThink Company operates in the United States as a remote-first company, with potential for as-needed travel associated to client needs. As such, please consider this a remote (work from home) position. Please note that Thinkers are expected to operate within Eastern Standard Time Zone business hours. Think Company is looking for a contract-based Senior UX Designer that can drive the design of complex features with little to no oversight. As the sole designer for this product team, you should be well-versed in all aspects of experience design and comfortable navigating ambiguity and establishing relationships with clients. You will drive the creation of intuitive solutions for our client's digital product lines, identifying design requirements and transforming ideas into a concrete UI with a polished aesthetic leveraging an existing design system. You will bring a strong perspective on design direction while also blending and balancing business goals with customer goals. You'll be positioned to become a trusted design consultant with multi-disciplinary counterparts and stakeholders.If you enjoy working autonomously and owning designs from conception to visual QA, you may be our ideal candidate. In applying for this job, you should have a firm grounding in foundational interaction design principles, portfolio pieces demonstrating your ability to design for complex systems, and an innate interest in shaping our connected world.What you'd do:Start each workday with an 8:30AM EST standup to provide design input and work status to the broader productManage your time to balance meetings and design priorities effectivelyServe as a primary point of contact and valued design consultant for our clientLead the creation of polished and usable interactive prototypes (using tools like Figma, etc.) to communicate solutions to complex product design challengesMaintain and build upon a scalable and comprehensive design system specific to the client's productWork closely with the development team to ensure ideas can be brought to lifeDefine problems and solve them using an evidence-based rationaleSynthesize research findings to develop a coherent project strategy Collaborate closely with your project teams and clients to create compelling design solutions for complex products or systemsThink through UX challenges and create UI solutions that stand up to rigorous testingStay up to date on current themes, trends, and technologies in user interface and experience designWhat you bring:At least 4 years of professional experience where you've shown a deep passion and ability to design useful experiencesAbility to be highly autonomous and work with little to no oversightTop-notch client consulting skills, including the ability to present and defend ideas, formulate a case for an initiative, and quickly build trust as an advisorExperience partnering with a development team to align on designs that are both technically feasible and improve the user experienceEvidence that you can extend, maintain, and champion a coherent digital product design systemExperience designing for complex systems or applications on multiple platforms, including mobilePride in communicating your design ideas and process clearly to clients and stakeholdersMastery of your design tools-apps and techniques alikeA solid understanding of front-end development, back-end systems, APIs and technologyFamiliarity with designing for accessibility and a desire to build these skillsComfort establishing and maintaining relationships with co-workers and clients Bonus PointsA working knowledge of business analysis, agile methodologies, and product strategyA working knowledge of research principles and activities, including user research methods, comparative/competitive analysis, persona creation, etc.Experience in the telecommunications industry Salary Description Hourly Rate: $43-$55
