As a Senior Training Specialist, you’ll translate real world field experience into practical, high-quality training that strengthens safety, technical capability, and workforce development across Canada.
Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging classroom, virtual, and hands-on technical training for electricians, technicians, engineers, and apprenticesFacilitate training programs covering high-voltage systems, switchgear testing and maintenance, protection systems, substations, and renewable energy systemsDevelop and continuously improve training curriculum, lesson plans, presentations, and practical lab exercisesEnsure training programs align with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practicesPromote electrical safety training aligned with NFPA 70E, CSA Z462, and industry Arc Flash and Lockout/Tagout standardsEvaluate learner performance through assessments, practical demonstrations, and feedbackMentor learners and support knowledge transfer using adult learning principles and coaching techniquesProvide technical insight from field experience to ensure training reflects real-world electrical work environmentsSupport the development and implementation of e-learning modules and blended learning programsCollaborate with internal engineering, field service, and operations teams to ensure training content reflects current industry practicesAssist in maintaining and improving training facilities, equipment, and safety proceduresMaintain training records, course documentation, and learner progress within the Learning Management System (LMS)Travel to customer locations, field sites, and training facilities to deliver programs and support learnersParticipate in continuous professional development to stay current with emerging technologies and electrical standards
Qualifications:
