Senior Technical Tax Manager, CPA (Full-Time, Remote, USA)

You will: • Research and Analysis: Delve into complex tax topics to extract precise information, staying updated with the latest tax regulations, and providing authoritative advice on hard tax subjects. • Review and Quality Control: Examine intricate tax returns to ensure accuracy, compliance, and optimal tax positions before filing. • Team Support: Act as the primary technical resource for the tax team, addressing and resolving inquiries, and providing guidance on complex client scenarios. • Continued Education: Stay updated with the ever-evolving tax landscape, including the latest rulings, legislation, and best practices. • Documentation: Document research findings, create internal best practices, and assist in training materials for the broader team. • Client Consultation: Occasionally (not too often) meet with high-profile or complex clients to discuss their tax situation, offer advice, and ensure client satisfaction. • Tax Modeling and Automation: Develop and design tax models based on the current regulations and tax strategies. Collaborate with the R&D department to ensure these models are accurately integrated into our software. • Software Testing: Assess and validate Gelt’s Platform ensuring it aligns with regulatory standards and functions as intended. Provide feedback and recommendations for improvements. We are looking for someone who has: • 8+ years of work experience with S-Corporations (1120S), partnerships (1065), and individuals (1040) - mostly in professional services, technology, and financial services industries • A bachelor’s / master’s degree in Accounting / Taxation • A CPA or EA • Sound knowledge on direct tax law • Ability to breakdown complex processes to simplify and optimize them • Enjoys fast paced startup environment • Nice to have: experience with corporations (1120), estate planning and trusts, gifts • Nice to have: PE and VC (funds) experience We appreciate people who are: • Passionate about what they do • Fast & creative thinkers & doers • Clear communicators How to Apply Email [email protected] to express your interest Looking forward to hearing from you.
