About the Role

Hey! We’re looking for a highly skilled Senior Technical SEO Specialist. This position is tailor-made for those adept at high-level SEO strategy as well as day-to-day execution. Given that this is initially a stand-alone role within the team, your ability to be proactive, decisive, and comfortable working independently will be crucial. You'll serve as the linchpin between our Web and Content Marketing teams, spearheading SEO initiatives to continuously improve search engine rankings. This role presents an exceptional opportunity to be the cornerstone of a results-driven channel, contributing significantly to sustainable growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy Development

- Design and implement overarching SEO strategies that align with the company's business goals.

- Collaborate with Content Marketing, Demand Generation, and Consumer Growth Marketing teams to define organic search and social growth strategies.

2. Technical SEO

- Monitor website performance, identifying technical issues that could affect search rankings.

- Execute technical improvements, including site speed optimization, crawlability, and enhancing the mobile experience.

- Monitor and handle XML sitemaps, robots.txt, and other technical SEO elements.

3. Content Optimization

- Perform thorough keyword research to identify high-value keywords relevant to the business.

- Provide SEO-optimized content briefs and recommendations to the Content Marketing team.

- Ensure that content is aligned with search intent and follows the latest SEO best practices.

- Monitor and improve on-page elements such as meta titles, meta descriptions, headers, and keyword density.

4. Analytics and Reporting

- Utilize SEO tools (like Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush) to track keyword rankings, backlink growth, and overall site health.

- Monitor organic traffic and conversion metrics to gauge the success of SEO strategies.

- Provide regular reports and insights to the marketing and executive teams, highlighting successes, challenges, and opportunities.

5. Up-to-Date Knowledge

- Stay up to date with Google Algorithm updates, trends, tools, and techniques.

- Recommend and oversee the adoption of new tools or strategies that could benefit the company's SEO efforts.

6. Collaboration

- Foster strong cross-functional collaborations, especially with Content Marketing, Web Development, and UX/UI teams, to ensure SEO best practices are consistently applied.

- Participate in brainstorming sessions and strategy meetings to bring the SEO perspective into wider digital marketing initiatives.

7. Competitive Analysis

- Regularly analyze competitor websites to gain insights and identify areas of opportunity for our own SEO strategy.

- Stay informed about competitors' keyword rankings and backlink profiles to anticipate market shifts and adjust strategies accordingly.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

1. Comprehensive SEO Knowledge

A solid grasp of the core aspects of SEO: content, technical, and offsite optimization.

2. Technical SEO Expertise

Prior experience in a role with a significant emphasis on technical optimization. Proficiency in identifying and resolving website technical issues that can affect SEO performance.

3. Mastery of Essential Tools

Hands-on experience with key SEO and analytics tools including Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics 4, Google Data Studio

4. Content Evaluation Skills

The capacity to assess content quality from both an editorial viewpoint and an SEO perspective, ensuring alignment between content relevance and search optimization.

5. Self-Managed Approach

Demonstrated ability to work independently, taking ownership of projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and effective delivery.

This is a fully remote role, with team members spread across multiple time zones. While we offer flexible working hours, we do ask for some availability between 18:00 and 20:30 CET to overlap with our US-based marketing team (6–9 hours behind CET).
