Job description: Senior Tax Accountant of International FinancePosition SummaryThe Senior Tax Accountant of International Finance primarily supports and facilitates the foreign tax compliance, accounting, research and planning for all direct and indirect tax functions including income, withholding and value-added taxes, along with the U.S. compensation and benefits tax functions. The Senior Accountant demonstrates strong tax knowledge and technology skills including, utilizing SAP accounting system, a module within enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, database applications, spreadsheet software and tax research tools. The Senior Accountant supports the Tax Manager including assistance with supervision and review of the work of others.Essential Responsibilities

Support international BlueCity startups, including assistance with determining the related financial regulatory requirements
Assist with identifying and communicating changes in international financial regulatory requirements and liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with implementation of systems, establishing policies and procedures and meeting reporting requirements
Facilitate foreign accounting and tax compliance as well as research and planning with external advisors
Comply with complex regulations which drive indirect taxes like value-added tax (VAT), goods and service tax (GST), other indirect taxes, withholding and various business licenses
Prepare quarterly and annual income tax provisions for foreign entities, including valuation allowance analysis, net operating loss presentation and deferred tax reporting for fixed assets
Update and maintain Pillar II Global Minimum Tax Matrix on a quarterly basis and assess future income tax risk
Ensure accurate and timely filling of annual Country-by-Country report form 8975
Analyze and reconcile general ledger tax accounts
Maintain and plan the tax calendar and meet statutory and internal due dates
Coordinate and respond to audits by tax authorities and internal/external financial audits
Lead the design, implementation and improvement of tax reporting processes
Maintain customer service approach for supporting or answering relevant tax inquiries from business units and liaison with external advisors
Maintain technical tax skills pertinent to the position
Ensure appropriate documentation and internal controls are maintained
Perform research to support tax compliance and planning
Train, supervise and develop accounting staff and liaise with external accounting firms and foreign government officials across the network
Other duties and special projects as assigned
Minimum Experience and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance related field; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience
Three (3) years of corporate tax experience
Fluent in English and Spanish language
Strong ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite (including spreadsheet expertise)
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to utilize tax research tools (CCH preferred) and online publications
Proficient in accounting and documentation skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Available for overnight travel (10%)
Must pass a pre-employment drug test
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience and Qualifications

Master's Degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Experience with ERP systems (SAP accounting system)
International tax experience

Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
Able to maintain a professional appearance
When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

Compensation:

The base pay range for this position is between $66,000.00 and $103,100.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue's total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
