About the Role: Driving Technical Excellence at Home Depot As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the technical infrastructure that underpins our domestic operations and customer experiences. Key Responsibilities: Where Your Expertise Shines Shipping & Execution (30%): Stay ahead of the curve by monitoring industry developments and internal changes, assessing their impact on our systems, and determining the necessary adjustments to keep our infrastructure up, running, and secure. Participate in and contribute to learning activities around systems engineering core practices. Mastering New Technologies (15%): Continuously update your knowledge and skills by proactively engaging with articles, tutorials, and videos on new technologies and best practices used within other technology groups. Planning & Analysis (20%): Research and analyze business trends and behavioral data to identify opportunities for improvement and new projects. Drive the evaluation, development, and recommendation of technology solutions that meet Home Depot's requirements. Support & Enablement (35%): Collaborate with product and project teams to understand their needs and enable them with the right infrastructure. Leverage tooling and custom applications to monitor the operational status of our systems and optimize performance as needed. Essential Qualifications: The Foundation of Success Must be at least 18 years old. Legally authorized to work in the United States. Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint, and Azure. Preferred Qualifications: Elevating Your Candidacy Professional or academic experience as an IT Engineer. Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional, modern engineering team. Troubleshooting and remediation experience across multiple IT disciplines. Familiarity with system and environment analysis, design, and optimization. Experience with cloud platforms like GCP and Azure. Previous experience supporting a 24x7 retail operation. Knowledge of version control systems and CI/CD toolchains. Exposure to Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles. At least 1 year of previous leadership experience.
