Senior Supply Chain Expert (Supply Chain SME)
Position Title: Senior Supply Chain Expert (Data Science & GenAI Enablement) Location: US (Remote) Any Visa is Fine Job Description: We are looking for an exceptional supply chain strategist with deep knowledge across planning, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, and quality. The ideal expert will be able to translate operational challenges into AI-powered, data-driven solutions that improve resilience, customer fulfillment, reliability, and sustainability. Key Responsibilities Supply Chain Domain Leadership Serve as the SME for end-to-end supply chain functions across MedTech / Pharmaceuticals / Consumer Health. Translate priorities such as OTIF improvement, lead-time reduction, supplier reliability, and cost-to-serve into actionable data science problem statements. Provide domain insights for advanced use cases including: Demand sensing, ATP prediction, lead time forecasting, supply risk sensing, inventory optimization, cost-to-serve analytics. Enable scenario modeling and control tower intelligence through well-defined process linkages and exception logic. Data Science Collaboration Partner closely with data scientists to define business logic, label data features, and validate ML outputs. Challenge model assumptions leveraging supply chain knowledge (MOQ, seasonality, safety stock, sourcing strategies). Support GenAI initiatives for automated insights, supplier performance narratives, and RCA summarization. Ensure all AI/ML solutions are explainable, interpretable, and business-friendly. Value Realization & Change Management Track and quantify model impact on KPIs: Inventory turns, OTIF, cost-to-deliver, carbon footprint. Drive adoption of digital twins, analytics dashboards, and AI-driven decision workflows. Lead stakeholder enablement and continuous improvement across global cross-functional teams. Required Qualifications 12+ years of end-to-end supply chain experience; strong preference for MedTech, Pharma, or Consumer Health domain. Deep knowledge of Plan-Source-Make-Deliver-Quality processes, data structures, and KPIs. Experience supporting data science, analytics, or supply chain control tower initiatives. Strong functional knowledge of ERP and planning systems such as SAP ECC/S/4 HANA, JDE, OMP, Kinaxis, etc. Ability to interpret analytical models (forecasting, classification, regression) and connect them to operational use cases. Preferred Skills Collaboration experience with data engineering teams in Azure, Databricks, or Snowflake ecosystems. Understanding of AI/ML lifecycle for enterprise-scale deployment. Familiarity with control tower platforms, digital twins, and GenAI applications. Outstanding communication and storytelling skills for executive-level presentations.
