About the Role:
Provide personalized coaching, advising, and support to students, focusing on goal setting, academic success, financial aid, and career development.
Develop and implement student success plans, utilizing data-driven strategies to re-engage students and promote retention.
Build strong relationships with students, faculty, and staff to ensure a comprehensive support system.
Collaborate with academic departments, colleges, and central units to deliver exceptional student services.
Analyze student data to identify trends, monitor progress, and inform student support services.
Responsibilities:
Success Coaching & Advising: Connect students with developmentally and situationally appropriate support services, follow up on outcomes, and build strong relationships.
Enrollment Management: Provide information to clientele on University of Arizona Online, Distance, and Continuing Education programs, track enrollment, retention, and graduation.
Student Engagement: Create and maintain a University of Arizona Yuma student culture by planning events and creating opportunities for students to explore the local community.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and 3 years of related experience (or equivalent combination of experience, training, and education).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to facilitate student conversations.
Knowledge of routine computer applications and software, including student information systems and customer relationship management systems.
Active listening skills and ability to problem-solve through investigation and understanding of needs and conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual in Spanish-English.
Experience in university or community college student support services and/or advising.
Experience developing and implementing student success programs for adult learners.
Experience using call dialing technology.
