Senior Staff Engineer, Mainframe (Natural Adabas)

That's where you come in.Job Description:REQUIREMENTS:Total Experience 8+ yearsStrong advanced expertise in Natural/ADABAS or Cobol/DB2Intermediate knowledge of JCLStrong programming and coding fundamentalsHands-on experience with batch and online (transactional) applicationsGood understanding of mainframe architecture and database conceptsExposure to mainframe modernization is an added advantageExperience with debugging and issue analysis on mainframe systemsFamiliarity with tools like NaturalONE (or similar editors), job schedulers, and JiraRESPONSIBILITIES:Writing and reviewing great quality code.Analyze existing applications and document business logic, technical design, and process flowUnderstand requirements and deliver high-quality code within defined timelinePerform unit testing and ensure code meets quality standardsDebug, analyze, and resolve production issues, providing timely fixes or workaroundsMaintain and update technical documentation for enhancements and fixesCollaborate with stakeholders for requirement gathering and status reportingSupport and mentor team members as neededContribute to continuous improvement and modernization initiativesEnsure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and project guidelinesQualifications:Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
