About the role:The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Senior Specialist Solutions Architect to join us in support of the Commercial Corporate sales team. In this role, you will focus on our commercial customers in the region. You will be the catalyst who creates possibilities, solves problems, and establishes working relationships with our customers. You'll discover and analyze our customers’ business and technical needs and collaborate with the Sales and technical delivery teams to help customers invest wisely in the right solutions from across the Red Hat portfolio, including Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat Virtualization, and Red Hat Application Services. As a Senior Specialist Solutions Architect, you’ll need to have excellent communication and people skills, as you'll be a key part of the first major experience our customers have with Red Hat. You’ll also need to have a balance of technical expertise, passion for open source, and detailed understanding of business processes. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.What you will do:Support the Sales team with recommendations for development and implementation of complex offerings and solutions to achieve sales quotasMeet revenue goals and deployment and service objectives while maintaining good relationships with existing and prospective customersPrepare detailed specifications of our offerings and implement customer installation plansDesign solutions based on customer requirements and create and deliver solid business casesDesign value-driven architectures and present the application and return on investment (ROI) of our technologiesDeliver compelling recommendations and quality solutions that result in the closing of new salesUse your skills as a technical solutions expert and your understanding of industry best practices to deliver timely results to customers that satisfy their expectationsShare knowledge and findings to allow team members to learn from your successes and mistakesWhat you will bring:5+ years of experience as a sales engineer, consultant, IT architect, or an equivalent role within enterprise accountsAbility to interpret customers’ business and technical needsUnderstanding of complex enterprise solutions and architecturesExcellent presentation, communication, and documentation skillsRecord of developing relationships at engineering, commercial, and executive levels throughout large enterprise IT organizationsSolid knowledge of hybrid cloud infrastructure and management solutions in the market, including Red Hat OpenStack Platform, KVM, VMware vSphere, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft AzureKnowledge of technologies like clustering, directory services, identity management, SELinux, etc.Broad understanding of the application life cycle from development to operations and its respective practices (DevOps)Knowledge of key technologies in DevOps including Linux containers, container management, and security, and continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) toolingThe salary range for this position is $185,590.00 - $296,870.00 (inclusive of base pay + target incentive compensation). Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.Pay TransparencyRed Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
