Senior Specialist, Cabin Flying - Remote Opportunity
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Specialist to join our Cabin Flying team at Delta Airlines. As a Senior Specialist, you will play a crucial role in leading reconfiguration projects, supporting cabin initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business success. Key Responsibilities:
Lead reconfiguration projects for Cabin Flying, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of projects
Support cabin initiatives, both strategic and tactical, based on cabin components, systems, or aircraft fleet type
Develop and maintain internal reconfiguration details for material aircraft in Delta's fleet
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop cabin reconfigurations, new product development, and new aircraft specifications
Participate in design review meetings, both domestically and internationally
Support initial cabin reconfiguration projects at off-site maintenance facilities in person
Create engineering documentation that supports cabin reconfigurations, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Establish effective time and project management for all engineering activities, meeting performance metrics and team objectives
Build strong relationships with internal and external clients, demonstrating a customer-centric approach
Practice safety-conscious behavior in all functional processes and procedures
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Aeronautical Engineering, with at least 3 years of relevant experience
Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams and external clients
Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and collaboratively as part of a team
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks, and develop creative solutions to complex technical problems
Ability to adapt to changing priorities, with a focus on delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
Knowledge of 14 CFR 25 and 121 regulations, Airworthiness Orders (AD) compliance, and the Supplemental Type Certification (STC) process
Familiarity with Airplane Technical Manuals (AMM, CMM, IPCs, WDMs) and Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA)
Experience with risk management in technical applications, and emergency exit lighting systems
Knowledge of aircraft electrical systems, and experience with cabin reconfiguration projects
