Our OpportunityOur solution engineering specialist team is looking for a new member to bolster our Risk Management practice area, including Snyk AppRisk product.TheSenior Solution Specialist is a subject matter expert in managing risk in Cybersecurity. In particular, identifying, prioritizing and addressing risk in software applications within the broader organizational governance and compliance framework. Specialists partner closely with pre-sales teams, but their expertise and ability to deliver anything from a deep dive into technology to a compelling session for C-level executives is also leveraged in cross-functional initiatives with departments like Product, Engineering, Marketing and Enablement.You’ll SpendYour Time: • Partner closely with Account Executives & Solutions Engineers on large deals throughout deal lifecycle • Progress deals of all sizes by addressing customer’s technical concerns through deep-dive sessions • Work closely with Snyk's sales leaders to drive revenue through new sales campaigns, better product differentiation and removing deal-specific roadblocks • Leverage technical expertise to unblock both pre-sales and post-sales account teams behind the scenes • Lead Snyk's global Solutions Engineering community of practice through influence, relationship and on-going mentorship of individual solution engineers • Capture, distill and prioritize field feedback and share with the Product team • Collaborate with Product & Engineering on upcoming capabilities • Build influential productive relationships with engineering, product and product marketing teams to address gaps, double-down on strengths and steer product direction • Work closely with the Enablement team to ensure all new capabilities and limitations are captured & communicated with the Solution Engineering team and beyond • Create innovative content on product positioning, differentiators and best practices for Snykers, business partners and customers • Create and confidently deliver technical presentations internally and externally • Speak and engage large audiences (50+ attendees) both in-person and in a virtual setting - internal & external • Continuously optimize operations and coordinate resources of a small team to support the majority of deeply technical engagements worldwide • Create new tools and approaches where necessary for optimal customer and product delivery of Snyk solutions • Work on thought leadership content, external marketing, blogs, whitepapers to help build pipeline for Snyk solutions What You’ll Need: • 5+ years in either an Application Security or Incident Response role or equivalent • 5+ years experience in a role with a customer-facing element • Hands-on experience reviewing or fixing application, container or infrastructure as code vulnerabilities (ideally all three) • Hands-on experience with either Application Security Posture Management (ASPM) or vulnerability management tools • Built technical working relationships with with heads of AppSec • Familiar with compliance standards, such as PCI, SOC2, ISO27001, HIPAA, Basel, etc • Led cross-functional teams on key projects • Experience speaking and engaging large audiences (30+ attendees) both in-person and in a virtual setting • Proven technology skills, outstanding interpersonal abilities, and strong written and verbal communication skills • Have strong written and spoken English • Love to teach and coaching is a habit • Understand people and what makes them tick, care about diversity and enjoy meeting people from all walks of life • Create alignment, rally resources and delight stakeholders We’d be Lucky if You: • Software development experience (professional, academic or hobby) • Rolled out or directly supported rollouts of ASPM or vulnerability management tools • Hands-on experience with SIEM (e.g.Splunk) or GRC (e.g. RSA Archer) • Track record of delivering compelling presentations to both internal and external executives We care deeply about the warm, inclusive environment we’ve created and we value diversity – we welcome applications from those typically underrepresented in tech.
