The Role: Senior Solutions Architect / Engineer - Kubernetes Expert As a Senior Solutions Architect/Engineer and Kubernetes Expert, you will be a pivotal member of our Solutions Architecture team within the Engineering department. Your expertise will be crucial in delivering cutting-edge, customer-facing solutions that address complex challenges in deploying containerized workloads, especially for high-performance computing (HPC), GPU, machine learning (ML), and artificial intelligence (AI) applications. Key Responsibilities Engage with customers to understand their challenges and design tailored solutions for deploying containerized workloads, focusing on HPC, GPU, ML, and AI applications. Design and deploy robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure solutions that meet and exceed client expectations, leveraging Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies. Collaborate closely with our development teams to enhance our product and processes, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and innovation. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation and repeatable processes for infrastructure deployment and management, promoting knowledge sharing and operational excellence. Critical Qualifications To excel in this role, you must have: A minimum of 7+ years of experience in Solutions Architecture, Engineering, or Software Engineering, with a proven track record of designing and implementing complex infrastructure solutions. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including design, deployment, and management across various platforms such as EKS, AKE, and GKE. Proficiency in cloud-native architectures, with a focus on multi-cloud or hybrid environments, particularly AWS. Experience in designing and implementing customer-facing cloud infrastructure components, with a strong understanding of Linux-based systems and products. Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Python, and Bash, with the ability to leverage these skills for automation and efficiency. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Helm, and CI/CD tools, particularly GitHub Actions. Preferred Qualifications While not mandatory, the following qualifications will make you an even more competitive candidate: Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes Operators (e.g., ECK, Prometheus, Istio, Aerospike) and their application in complex environments. Experience in HPC engineering and orchestration, including deploying and troubleshooting schedulers in the cloud (e.g., Slurm, LFS). Familiarity with MLOps tools (e.g., Kubeflow) and their integration into cloud-native workflows. Understanding of FinOps best practices for cost management and cloud optimizations, ensuring efficient resource utilization. Experience with Azure platform operations and support, adding to your versatility in multi-cloud environments. Active involvement in Kubernetes and/or Cloud Native open-source communities, demonstrating your commitment to staying at the forefront of technology. A BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, providing a solid foundation for your technical expertise.
