We're now seeking a seasoned Senior Software Project Manager to lead our software projects and drive the development of our state-of-the-art general-purpose humanoid robots. About the Role As a Senior Software Project Manager at Apptronik, you will play a pivotal role in the software organization, overseeing end-to-end delivery of software projects for our team of engineers. You will be responsible for establishing project plans, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery of software, and serving as a key liaison between engineering teams. Your expertise will be crucial in aligning software development with hardware delivery and facilitating successful handoffs and coordination between teams. Key Responsibilities Lead software projects from inception to delivery, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines. Develop and manage project plans, resource allocation, and budgeting. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, hardware, and other stakeholders. Ensure software development is aligned with hardware delivery and facilitate successful handoffs. Manage and track project progress, identifying and mitigating risks and issues. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the software team. Communicate project status, plans, and results to stakeholders, including technical and non-technical audiences. Ensure adherence to Agile methodologies and best practices in software development. Collaborate with the team to identify and implement process improvements. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you should possess: A Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, or related discipline). 2+ years of experience in software project management, preferably with a focus on Agile methodologies. A strong understanding of the software development lifecycle. Proven ability to manage complex projects across diverse teams. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Experience with production software deployments to edge hardware and cloud infrastructure. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Git, Bitbucket, and Ansible. Familiarity with project management tools, particularly the Atlassian stack (Jira, Confluence, etc.). Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience with robotics applications, such as SLAM, Motion Planning and Control, and Autonomy. Familiarity with Edge compute hardware and applications. Experience with deploying machine learning or AI-based software deployments. An MBA or other master's level education.
