As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be integral to the Identity Platform team, responsible for the development, design, testing, and operations of Identity, Authentication, Authorization, Session Management, and more for two of the Splunk Products - Splunk Observability and Splunk AppDynamics. Technical Skills: Basic Qualifications BS in Computer Science or equivalent training or work experience. 8+ years of experience building complex distributed backend systems. Sound knowledge of data structures, algorithms and other computer science basics. Ability to create low level designs and implement complex backend systems. Operate and monitor production systems, ensuring their reliability and performance. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written along with ability to work well in a team. Preferred Qualifications Experience with authentication and authorization standards, protocols and technologies, including OAuth2, OIDC, RBAC and ABAC. Proficiency in Java 8+. Experience with frontend development in Angular, React and similar frameworks is a plus. Proficiency in Kubernetes, cloud native development on AWS & GCP. Base Pay Range SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area Base Pay Range: $[“Hiring Range: Non-Sales US1 Base Pay OR Sales US1 OTE”] per year California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts Base Pay Range: $[“Hiring Range: Non-Sales US2 Base Pay OR Sales US OTE”] per year All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area. Base Pay Range: $[“Hiring Range: Non-Sales US3 Base Pay”] per year Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate.
