About the Role We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Texas, with the flexibility to work from home. As a key member of our Substance Devices group, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining the sophisticated technology that ingests content from over 500 partners and delivers high-quality video to our vast customer base. This role requires a strong foundation in software development, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to lead technical design and implementation. Key Responsibilities Design and Implementation: Create well-architected solutions and implement them with clean, maintainable code that sets the standard for our engineering team. Technical Leadership: Lead the technical design and execution of new features, working closely with directors and Technical Project Managers to drive project milestones and delivery. Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in our systems and workflows, proposing and implementing changes that enhance efficiency and productivity. Mentorship: Guide junior and mid-level engineers, sharing your expertise and experience to help them grow professionally. Customer-Centric Approach: Adopt a client-driven mindset to improve our content management systems, tools, and workflows, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our users. Quality Assurance: Write secure and robust tests to ensure the reliability and performance of our systems. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need a strong background in software development, with a focus on Javascript/React and at least one backend language. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Systems, Programming, Electrical or Hardware Engineering, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience. You'll also need: Technical Skills: Proficiency in modern web styling frameworks and tools, along with a solid understanding of core CS fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
