Senior Snowflake Data Engineer
Position: Sr Data Engineer – Data Migration Consultant (Snowflake) We are looking for a hands-on Data Engineer with strong experience in Snowflake and modern data platforms. This role involves end-to-end data migration, building scalable data pipelines, and supporting customers through Snowflake implementation and optimization. Responsibilities: • Design and implement data migration plans and Snowflake-based solutions. • Work closely with customers as the Snowflake technical expert during implementation. • Develop and optimize ELT/ETL pipelines using SQL, Python, and Snowflake features. • Deploy Snowflake following best practices, including knowledge transfer to customer teams. • Work with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) to support data ingestion and integration. • Collaborate with system integrators and internal teams to ensure successful delivery. • Create documentation, presentations, and reusable accelerators or utilities. • Stay updated on related data technologies and contribute to solution improvements. Required Skills & Experience: • 5–7 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role. • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake (Warehouses, Stages, Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Views, Time Travel, RBAC, Query Optimization). • Experience migrating data warehouses from on-prem to cloud environments. • Strong SQL skills and scripting experience in Python and/or Bash. • Good understanding of the data analytics ecosystem (ETL, modeling, BI tools). • Experience with cloud storage and compute services (S3, Azure Blob, Google Cloud Platform Storage). • Strong communication and client-facing skills. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with big data platforms (Hadoop, HBase). • Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, MicroStrategy, etc. • Exposure to Infrastructure-as-a-Service platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform). • Experience implementing ETL pipelines and working with languages like Java or C/C++. • SnowPro Core Certification is a plus.
