Senior SEO Specialist (US Market) — Online Education / AI Search Optimization We’re looking for a senior-level SEO specialist to help scale organic growth for a fully accredited U.S.-based K–12 online school operating in competitive English-speaking markets. This is a long-term, part-time role focused on strategic SEO execution, not one-off tasks. ⸻ About Us Legacy Online School is a WASC-accredited U.S. online K–12 school serving families in the USA, Canada, UK, and international markets. We invest in quality, authority, and long-term SEO, not shortcuts. ⸻ What We Need Help With We’re looking for someone who can own SEO direction and execution, including: SEO Strategy • Build and execute an SEO strategy for the U.S. market (primary), plus Canada / UK • Prioritize pages, keywords, and clusters based on business impact Technical SEO • Perform technical audits (WordPress site) • Improve indexing, crawlability, Core Web Vitals, and on-page health using Google Search Console • Work with developers on implementation Content & Authority SEO • Build Topical Authority via semantic clustering and content architecture • Optimize content for Domain Authority growth • Work at the individual keyword level (how to rank specific queries and why) AI Search Optimization (Very Important) • Optimize pages to appear in: • Google AI Overviews (SGE / AI citations) • ChatGPT / OpenAI Search • Gemini, Copilot, Perplexity • Understand how content gets cited in AI-generated answers • Structure content for trust, authority, and citation-worthiness Keyword & Semantic Work • Advanced keyword research (including long-tail) • Keyword clustering and semantic core management • Ability to explain ranking logic clearly Monitoring & Adaptation • Track rankings and organic visibility • Adapt strategy to Google updates, especially around AI and content quality ⸻ Required Experience • 3+ years of SEO experience • Proven work on U.S. market SEO projects • Strong technical SEO understanding (not content-only) • Experience with Ahrefs and/or SEMrush • Understanding of Topical Authority & Domain Authority • Experience with strategic (not spammy) link-building • Ability to work independently and make justified decisions ⸻ Strong Plus • SEO experience in education / EdTech • Hands-on experience with AI search visibility • Understanding of Google’s recent updates related to AI-generated content ⸻ Engagement Details • Part-time, long-term • Fully remote • Flexible schedule • Monthly retainer: $1,000–$2,000, depending on experience and results ⸻ How to Apply Please include: 1.
