The Hartford's Contact Center IT team is seeking a Senior Scrum master. We are looking for a talented professional with a track record of being a servant leader for SCRUM teams in our Contact Center Platform and Production area. Our ideal candidate will leverage deep Agile expertise and skills to deliver invest projects, maintenance, and technical currency work within our area. The Hartford is proud to offer a hybrid work location model that is designed to support flexibility. This position requires in office presence Tuesday/Wednesday with remote work flexibility Monday, Thursday, and Friday. Responsibilities: • Facilitate all the Agile/SCRUM ceremonies - DSU's, Sprint planning, Sprint reviews, Retrospective/Sprint demos. • Kanban methodology for the production support teams • Partners with the Product Owner, IT Delivery Lead and Business leadership to form execution delivery plans and manage progress and facilitates release planning. • Organizes and facilitates ceremonies, identifies improvement opportunities to optimize velocity and quality while mitigating risk. • Partners with Release Train Engineer for overall delivery of Agile release and maturity level. • While the SM will be primarily supporting one ART, there will be regular partnership with a second ART for key work items and dependencies. • Partners with the Product Owner to ensure the backlog items are prioritized based on business value and ready for the team • Tracks and communicates the overall team progress providing visibility to stakeholders. • Serves as a filter to remove impediments to progress as identified by the team. • Assessing the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization. • Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solving. • Motivate the team to be disciplined and accountable for ensuring the Agile tools (Rally) hygiene is maintained. Qualifications: • Strong knowledge and experience working with Agile reports/Metrics. • Experience working with PO in backlog grooming/refinements. • Experience in participating in Program increment(PI Planning). • Experience in Estimation and Story pointing. • Experience in Team Planning- Capacity/velocity. • Ability to analyze and think quickly and to resolve conflict. • Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills, and ability to effectively communicate and collaborate across teams. • Ability to adapt to a changing environment. • Self-motivation and ability to stay focused in the middle of distraction. • Scrum Master certification. Preferred Skills: • Contact Center industry experience. Compensation The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.
