Senior SAP Finance & Controlling (FI/CO) Consultant / Director (all genders)
About the position At Tenthpin we are seeking a highly experienced, client-facing SAP Finance & Controlling (FI/CO) professional to join our growing team in a senior advisory capacity. This is a role for a true expert - someone who can confidently guide CFOs and senior stakeholders through complex digital transformations, lead pre-sales efforts, respond to RFPs, and ensure the successful delivery of high-impact SAP S/4HANA programs. You will play a critical role in shaping strategic finance transformation journeys for our Life Sciences clients and have the opportunity to contribute significantly to the continued growth and positioning of Tenthpin as on the recent success stories of the Management Consulting industry. Responsibilities • Lead the end-to-end advisory and delivery of SAP S/4HANA Finance & Controlling solutions for complex global clients. • Serve as a strategic advisor to CFOs, finance leadership teams, and senior stakeholders across the business. • Play a key role in pre-sales activities, including crafting and presenting proposals, responding to RFPs, and shaping the solution architecture in alignment with client needs. • Design and lead large-scale SAP programs with a clear vision of best practices in Finance, Controlling, and project delivery. • Provide oversight and assurance during delivery, ensuring alignment between business goals and system design. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including specialists in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Project Systems, to design fully integrated solutions. • Actively contribute to Tenthpin's communities and knowledge-sharing forums, supporting the development of innovative capabilities and mentoring fellow consultants. • Work in a truly agile and empowering consulting environment, free of unnecessary red tape, where your expertise directly shapes client outcomes and internal direction. Requirements • Extensive experience leading SAP FI/CO engagements in S/4HANA environments, from strategy through to execution - ideally in a Director, Senior Manager, or Lead Consultant role. • A strong track record of working directly with CFOs, Finance Directors, and C-level stakeholders to shape and deliver complex programs. • Demonstrated experience in pre-sales, including proposal development, solution design, and client presentations. • Deep knowledge across core SAP FI and CO processes (General Ledger, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profitability Analysis, Margin Analysis, etc.), with integration into Project Systems (EPPM) and other business functions. • Skilled at navigating ambiguity, designing target operating models, and aligning SAP solutions with business strategy. • Background in a leading management consulting firm, major system integrator, or niche SAP consultancy, with exposure to Life Sciences, Pharma, or process manufacturing environments highly desirable. • Business fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus.
