This position is responsible for supporting self-funded customers by performing a mental health parity analysis. In addition, the position will support outside law firms and consultants who are performing mental health parity analysis for our mutual customers. This role will have a high level of interaction with internal clients and business areas, as well as external customers and their consultants and attorneys.
You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Responsibilities
• Counseling on mental health parity related inquiries and assisting with parity related analysis
• Working together with clinical services, Optum Behavioral Health, and other departments to prepare mental health parity analyses
• Communicating with internal business areas, as well as external customers and their consultants and attorneys
• Managing recurring projects on varying timelines with the flexibility to take on additional work as needed
• Maintaining and communicating sensitive or confidential information in accordance with internal policies and procedures
• Drafting, revising, formatting and proofreading documents with direction from other staff

Requirements
• 2+ years of experience working in health care and/or health insurance
• 2+ years of experience with mental health parity compliance
• Experience responding to inquiries from a variety of stakeholders (external customers, executives and regulators)
• Proven solid verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (MS Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point)
