Position Summary:
ā¢ We are seeking a Sr. QA Engineer that is located in CA, OR, WA (remote)
This is an exciting opportunity to join Telestream's enterprise products team as a Senior QA Engineer. The products tested by this group are used in many high-profile live events (e.g. sports, music, reality TV) and file-based media workflows for broadcast networks and cable companies.
Responsibilities:
ā¢ Review, analyze, and provide timely feedback on requirements, specifications, and technical design documents.
ā¢ Develop comprehensive test plans and detailed test cases to ensure high-quality software and hardware testing.
ā¢ Execute functional, negative, performance and end-to-end testing.
ā¢ Identify and report issues, and verify issues are resolved to satisfy customer expectations.
ā¢ Create and maintain automated tests to facility timely product releases with minimal regression issues.
ā¢ Investigate and analyze production defects, identify gaps in test coverage, and enhance test approaches accordingly.
ā¢ Assume full ownership of testing strategies for one or more assigned products.
ā¢ Actively participate in and contribute to Agile/Scrum ceremonies, providing quality insights during sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
Qualifications:
ā¢ Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
ā¢ 5+ years' experience in a QA role with a technology organization.
ā¢ Strong troubleshooting skills for software, firmware and hardware issues.
ā¢ Familiarity with digital media, video streaming, and/or subtitling.
ā¢ Experience with defect tracking systems such as Jira.
ā¢ Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
Additional strengths:
ā¢ Experience with video editing (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere).
ā¢ Familiarity with video processing tools (e.g. FFmeg, OBS).
ā¢ Knowledge of broadcast infrastructure (e.g. SDI, ST2110).
ā¢ Proficiency with scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell, Python, Bash).
