Position Purpose
Digital Experience operates as a shared services function supporting multiple lines of business across Capital Bank. We are seeking a senior project manager to drive consistent, high-quality execution across enterprise initiatives.
This role owns sprint execution, project coordination, and delivery momentum — ensuring work is clearly defined, prioritized, and progressing on schedule across multiple business units.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience managing concurrent projects in a matrixed environment and enforces clear processes, review cycles, and accountability to ensure work is delivered efficiently and without unnecessary rework.
Position Responsibilities
Own Agile Delivery Execution
Own sprint planning, backlog management, and agile ceremonies across Digital Experience initiatives
Serve as Scrum Master to ensure consistent execution rhythms and team alignment
Translate business requests into clearly defined workstreams with scope, timelines, and ownership
Maintain strong backlog hygiene, ensuring work is prioritized, actionable, and ready for execution
Ensure sprint commitments are met and proactively address any risks to delivery
Drive Cross-Business Execution and Accountability
Manage multiple concurrent projects across lines of business within a shared services model
Act as the central point of coordination across cross-functional stakeholders (marketing, product, design, engineering, etc.)
Drive accountability across all stakeholders, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and commitments are met
Maintain clear visibility into project status, next steps, risks, and dependencies across all active workstreams
Identify when work is at risk of slipping and intervene early to keep projects on track
Own Review Cycles and Delivery Cadance
Establish and enforce structured review cycles across all projects (e.g., concept, in-progress, final)
Define clear expectations for when and how stakeholders provide feedback
Ensure feedback is consolidated, actionable, and delivered within defined timelines
Prevent late-stage feedback and rework by enforcing early and consistent review checkpoints
Facilitate review sessions and ensure decisions are made quickly to maintain momentum
Hold stakeholders accountable to review timelines and participation
Maintain Reporting and Delivery Visibility
Establish and maintain a consistent reporting cadence (weekly, sprint-level, and milestone-based updates)
Provide clear visibility into project status, timelines, risks, and capacity across all active work
Develop simple, effective dashboards or reporting structures to communicate progress to leadership
Ensure stakeholders are informed, aligned, and aware of expectations throughout the project lifecycle
Track delivery performance and highlight risks or bottlenecks early
Manage Project Intake and Coordination
Execute within and continuously improve existing intake, kickoff, and planning processes
Facilitate project kickoffs, working sessions, and milestone reviews to ensure alignment and clarity
Ensure all work entering the system is properly scoped, prioritized, and resourced
Coordinate timelines and dependencies across teams to ensure smooth execution
Support prioritization decisions based on capacity, timelines, and business impact
Support Process Improvement
Identify gaps, inefficiencies, or breakdowns in current workflows and recommend improvements
Strengthen existing delivery processes with a focus on clarity, speed, and accountability
Introduce practical enhancements that improve team efficiency without adding unnecessary complexity
Minimum Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Operations, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
5–8+ years of experience in project management, agile delivery, or similar execution-focused roles
Proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects across different business units, brands, or product lines
Experience operating within a shared services or highly matrixed organization
Strong track record of driving accountability across cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Demonstrated experience establishing or enforcing structured review cycles and reporting cadences
Experience running agile ceremonies, managing backlogs, and maintaining sprint discipline
Experience in financial services, fintech, or regulated industries preferred
Technical Knowledge and Skills
Strong proficiency with project management and collaboration platforms (e.g., Asana, ClickUp, Notion, Jira, or similar tools)
Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Teams, Planner, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience implementing agile methodologies, sprint planning, and backlog governance
Familiarity with AI-enabled productivity tools and workflow automation concepts
Ability to design dashboards, reporting structures, and operational visibility tools
Strong organizational, facilitation, and stakeholder alignment skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate ambiguity into actionable plans
Compensation
Base Salary Range: $100,000 - $140,000 annually. Final determination of where you are at in the salary range is based on numerous factors such as geographic location, relevant experience, skill set, education, and ability to meet qualifications within the job description.
Additional Compensation: This role will include a yearly annual target bonus based on individual performance.
