The Senior Project Director oversees datacenter projects or programs of € 1 - 5 bln CAPEX with first tranche deliveries within 15 months after construction starts. You will directly shape the future of EdgeConneX’s European and more specifically Swedish footprint. The Senior Project Director ensures this by building a high performing team with other EdgeConneX departments and partners. To successfully deliver these large-scale time constrained projects, the project director will be responsible for project delivery and process improvement initiatives. At the same time, both EdgeConneX and our customers are looking for new datacenter capacity. Your customer relationships and market knowledge will drive our market development team in establishing new data center developments. This position reports to the Vice President of Project Management Organization (PMO) EMEA and the position will be based in Sweden. Primary Responsibilities Deliver multi-billion-euro datacenter projects on time, on budget and on quality all the time by: Delivering high-quality accurate and transparent updates on project progress to leadership and supporting teams Driving schedule improvements to ensure reliable and predictable delivery dates Providing (executive) leadership and our customers with project insights and risks. Effectively manage risks, ensure there is always a plan B in place Building a high performing team between EdgeConneX and partner teams in delivering the project. Develop a network throughout EdgeConneX, authorities, customers and external partners and communities to effectively manage the projects and associated challenges Continuous drive for improvement and challenging the status quo. Team up with the VP Nordics to communicate with critical project stakeholders. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Problem solving and analytical skills Creativity and flexibility to get the project done. Self-starter with a positive attitude and strong emotional intelligence. Ability to make new things your own. Ability to quickly leverage new insights from new applications and our PMIS system. Ability to work in a fast-paced, globally diverse, scaling company. Strong communication skills in both written and verbal English and Swedish. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities and projects. Ability to meet committed timelines, by forging and working with teams. Ability to take leadership and drive down issues. Fluent in both the English and Norse language. Experience/Education 10+ years data center project management experience or relevant experience in large scale customer facing energy infrastructure, pharmacy or petro-chemical construction projects. Executed projects more than € 500 Mm Individual datacenter projects of 50 MW+ Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related field equivalent experience. A combination of 2 project / construction management-related certification such as AC, ACP CPC, CST, FE, PE, or PMP is required OSHA 30 safety certification is required to be completed within 3 months following job start . Travel Up to 25% with the flexibility to travel on short notice (domestic and international).
