Senior Production Support Analyst - Kforce Technology Staffing

RESPONSIBILITIES: Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Production Support Analyst in Herndon, VA. Key Responsibilities: * The Senior Production Support Analyst is responsible for working across designated teams to ensure applications are fully available to all stakeholders and customers * Assist development teams in deployments, routine patching and system application monitoring / troubleshooting * Analyze and evaluate complex data file processing, help translate customer reporting requirements and create reports, and provide application testing and validations * Lead incident response calls and contribute/create after action reports REQUIREMENTS: * A degree from an accredited College/University in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline is preferred * A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in software development and/or related field * Experience training/mentoring less experienced personnel * Extensive knowledge of and experience with designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining complex business, accounting and management information systems * Extensive experience developing/supporting software applications using more than one of these software technologies: Java, Active Server Pages (ASP), JavaScript, Oracle DBMS, SQL Server DBMS, Visual Basic * Extensive experience collaborating with end users to define new software system requirements * Experience training/instructing end users on the use of software applications * Experience authoring or contributing to software-related documentation such as requirements specifications, design documents, technical manuals, and user manuals * Demonstrated experience using UNIX commands to manage production Linux servers, including creation and maintenance of shell scripts to manage application maintenance activities * Demonstrated experience using SQL query on Oracle Databases to perform Database lookups * Strong working knowledge of SQL; Ability to understand and write complex SQL using select statements, views, joins, indexing and to create report data * Excellent communication skills * Able to perform all functional duties independently on high-visibility programs, or mission critical aspects of a given program * Able to oversee the efforts of direct reporting resources and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job * Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
