As a senior-level product writer, you’ll drive the messaging, content strategy, and naming for experiences on Duolingo, landing on pithy turns of phrase that land with our learners. You and your teammates will design new pathways to content, make existing features better, and craft fun, new ways for our learners to unlock knowledge. You’ll work with autonomy, focusing on a few projects at a time and driving their content strategy forward. This role reports to the Head of Product Writing. We sit within the Design org, the instrumental creative partner in most projects at Duolingo. You Will… • Shape how information is shared in the Duolingo app • Flex the concise, expressive Duolingo voice • Partner with product designers and product managers on new features and interactions based on data and insights • Develop ways to scale quality across your product area • Make hypotheses about copy and run experiments • Work with our localization team to ensure A+ translation You Have… • A brain that’s always buzzing with ideas • A portfolio with compelling UX writing examples for a consumer app • A gift for expressing complicated things in plain language • Experience taking a leadership stance, whether in title or behavior • The ability to work from or relocate to Pittsburgh, PA or New York City Exceptional Candidates Will Have… • Experience developing content guidelines within a design system • Curiosity about using ChatGPT • Experience developing new and novel content models • Experience collaborating with translators • A Duolingo streak! This is not inclusive of the rest of our awesome portfolio that includes equity compensation and world-class benefits. Our salary ranges are the same for all US locations.
