Senior Product Engineer, Mobile (Remote Opportunity)

The Opportunity Hyatt Hotels Corporation seeks an enthusiastic Senior Product Engineer to join our Global Digital and Technology organization. This is a technical position, ideal for someone who is skilled and passionate about development, and eager to expand their technical and leadership skills. You will work with and mentor developers in a cross-functional team. Senior Android Product Engineers will work close with their Product and Design teammates to plan and negotiate iterative development cycles in an agile environment. The work will be primarily outcome-based objectives with a goal of measuring and showing improvement. This position is within the App and Stay Experiences portfolio, which is focused on improving the experiences for Hyatt guests while in stay. The Role • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers, helping them develop solutions and resolve technical challenges. • Lead the implementation of key features and ensure proper documentation for both new and existing functionality. • Advocate for code quality and maintainability, participating in architecture and design discussions. • Submit pull requests (PRs) and incorporate feedback effectively, promoting collaborative development. • Drive the adoption of consistent practices and patterns to improve readability and maintainability of the Android codebase. • Optimize the performance and efficiency of the Android application, ensuring a smooth user experience. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product and design, to deliver high-quality features. • Stay up to date with the latest Android development trends and tools, providing recommendations on improvements. • Participate in technical interviews and contribute to hiring efforts for the engineering team. • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging knowledge sharing and best practice adoption across the team. • Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt's core values.
