This role combines technical expertise with mentorship opportunities, as you'll guide junior staff while serving as the go-to resource for complex payroll inquiries. Position Number: S78270 This position is a Grade: 8 - 37.5 with an approximate salary range of $43,940 - $52,740 and is subject to change based on experience, skills and qualifications. Key Responsibilities: • Oversee comprehensive payroll processing for faculty, staff, and student employees • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations • Mentor and train junior payroll staff members • Resolve complex payroll-related inquiries and issues • Collaborate across departments to streamline processes and enhance efficiency • Coordinate payroll operations to meet critical deadlines • Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation Qualifications: • High school diploma or the equivalent combination of education and experience; Associates Degree in Business preferred • Three to five years related work experience • Strong knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements • Proficiency in payroll systems and Microsoft Office Suite • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-dependent environment Join our vibrant academic community with comprehensive benefits including competitive compensation, excellent health coverage, retirement plans, tuition benefits for family members, and access to world-class facilities.
