YOU ARE: Responsible for processing the bi-weekly payroll with a high level of accuracy and efficiency. As a successful candidate for this role, you will have a strong attention to detail and a working knowledge of payroll policies and procedures. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate payroll records and performing other payroll-related financial activities within our organization.
YOUR DAY TO DAY:
Responsible for processing our bi-weekly payroll timely and in compliance with all federal, state and local regulations and adherence to company policies
Audit payroll to ensure accuracy with data integrity
Calculate and process complex and high-visibility transactions, including multi-state adjustments, bonus taxation and retroactive adjustments
Generate payroll reports for management and regulatory agencies
Provide a high level of customer service when responding to payroll inquiries in a timely manner, collaborating with the People team, Finance and other departments as needed
Research and analyze complex payroll issues, develop solutions and communicate with employees and internal stakeholders
Assist with processing payroll journal entries into accounting software
Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy of payroll operations
Understanding of multi-state taxation and garnishments
Compile payroll data as requested for internal and external audits
YOU'LL BRING:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance OR
5+ years of work experience processing high-volume multi-state payrolls
Experience using Workday Payroll and Time and Attendance is a plus
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and be able to multi-task
Excellent knowledge of Excel
Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills effectively communicating across department and all levels
Demonstrate complete discretion and confidentiality
