Role Snapshot: Position: Senior Part-Time Accountant (Job Share) Location: Remote Compensation: Competitive salary Company: Workwarp Start Date: Immediate openings available Key Responsibilities: As a Senior Part-Time Accountant (Job Share), you will be responsible for: Preparing and monitoring revenue budgets and final accounts for a range of services, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements. Providing expert financial guidance and advice to officers across the council, fostering strong relationships and effective communication. Assisting with procurement activities, including tendering and contract management, to ensure best value and compliance. Collaborating with colleagues to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Analyzing financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Contributing to the development of financial policies and procedures. Essential and Preferred Qualifications: We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced accountant with: Essential: CIPFA qualification (or other CCAB). Significant experience in a similar role, preferably in the public sector. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in financial software and systems. Preferred: Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. Knowledge of procurement and contract management principles.
